We would like to inform you that the main gazebo on the great lawn will be undergoing renovations starting next week and will take approximately 4-5 weeks to complete. The gazebo will be getting a new cedar shingle roof, upgraded electric power for concerts, improved interior lighting, and carpentry repair and replacement as needed. It will be power washed, stained, and painted to give it that brand new look as well.
During the renovation process, a safety fence/barrier will be placed around the perimeter of the gazebo to protect residents and visitors from potential safety hazards. Please respect this “construction zone” and keep a safe distance from the barrier. The renovation is planned for completion well in advance of our first summer concert.
We would also like to take the opportunity to let you know about two other initiatives planned for 2018. One is the replacement of both playground structures and playground fencing, and the other is the health and care of our street trees. For those of you who completed the playground survey, thank you for sharing your ideas as we work to implement what was most desired. Further details on these projects will be provided in the near future.
The lake gazebo project, initiated last year has been temporarily placed on hold because the Board determined that the upkeep and appearance of our current amenities is a higher priority. After we take care of the assets that we already have, we can look to adding new and exciting amenities to our community.
We are excited and energized about what is planned for Carpenter Village. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
